Product Overview: C4 Fraction is one of the Tosoh ethylene plant's by-products, and is shipped primarily to rubber manufacturers for the extraction of butadiene - an essential ingredient of SBR and ABS resins. Tosoh relies solely upon its own C4 Fraction/butadiene supply for the production of SKYPRENE®, a premium quality polychloroprene rubber. A wide variety of other C4 hydrocarbons, such as butylene and butane can be extracted as well.
Applications: Extraction of butadiene, butylene, butane.
Manufacturing of synthetic rubber.
