Tosoh Establishes Cleaning Performance Assessment Lab for Industrial Solvent HA-IS16

Tokyo, Japan—On October 1, Tosoh Corporation opened a performance assessment lab for its HA-IS16 industrial solvent at the Tokyo Research Center in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The new lab joins an earlier lab that assesses the company’s HC Series hydrocarbon cleaners. Its evaluation of the cleaning effectiveness of HA-IS16 is sure to support product sales, to improve product after-sales service through better knowledge of how best to apply HA-IS16, and to raise Tosoh’s ability to develop cleaning products that satisfy customer needs.

Effective Against Grime

HA-IS16 is the only industrial cleaner effective on diverse oil-based and water-soluble oily grime. The solvent, moreover, doesn’t require a post-cleansing rinse with water and features fast drying time. The oil can then be separated from the HA-IS16 and both can be recovered and recycled. HA-IS16, therefore, is an environmentally friendly product, all the more so because it does not contain halogens, such as fluorine, chlorine, or bromine. As such, it is nonflammable, so fire laws do not apply, adding to the HA-IS16’s ease of handling.

Industrial solvents, such as HA-IS16, are used in a wide variety of industries, including the automotive, electric, electronic, precision instrument, and optical component industries. These solvents are specifically for the removal of the oil that remains on metal parts after they are manufactured.
