Tosoh Quartz Completes a New Manufacturing Facility in Taiwan

Tokyo, Japan— Tosoh Quartz Co., Ltd. (Tainan, Taiwan), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Tosoh Quartz Corporation (Yamagata, Japan), is pleased to announce that it has completed construction of a new manufacturing facility in Taiwan. It features three levels aboveground and one level belowground, totaling a floor area of approximately 5,900 square meters. The new facility will make fabricated quartz products for the semiconductor market.

Taiwan is a major semiconductor market that accounts for over 20% of global semiconductor production. Thus, the company will strive to contribute further to that market through this newly expanded capacity.
